Academic Divisions

Our Junior School program focuses on foundational literacy and numeracy skills while nurturing curiosity and creativity. The curriculum includes English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Hindi, Art, Music, and Physical Education. We emphasize hands-on learning through projects, field trips, and interactive activities.

Special features include reading programs, mathematics clubs, and nature exploration activities. Our low student-teacher ratio ensures personalized attention for each child's development.

Middle School marks the transition from foundational learning to more specialized subject areas. Students begin studying separate sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), advanced mathematics, history, geography, and a choice of second language (French, Sanskrit, or Gujarati).

We introduce research skills, critical thinking exercises, and collaborative projects. Extracurricular activities become more diverse, including debate, Model United Nations, and science clubs.

Senior School prepares students for the ICSE examinations while developing advanced academic skills. The curriculum includes English, a second language, history, geography, mathematics, science (physics, chemistry, biology), and optional subjects like computer applications, economics, or commercial studies.

We offer specialized coaching for competitive examinations, career guidance, and leadership development programs. Students undertake community service projects and independent research initiatives.

Admissions Process

Admission to The Cathedral & John Connon School is competitive and based on merit. We seek students who demonstrate academic potential, curiosity, and good character. The admission process varies by grade level.

Application Submission

November - December 2023

Complete online application form with required documents including birth certificate, previous school records, and passport-sized photographs.

Entrance Assessment

January 2024

Age-appropriate assessments for Grades 1-9 focusing on language, mathematics, and reasoning skills. For senior grades, subject-specific tests may be conducted.

Parent Interview

February 2024

Meeting with school administration to discuss educational philosophy, expectations, and address any questions about the school program.

Admission Decision

March 2024

Notification of admission status sent via email and post. Successful candidates receive enrollment package with fee structure and joining instructions.

Our team of four students secured first place in the National Science Olympiad, competing against 250 schools from across India. The team presented an innovative water purification system using locally available materials.
